Summary:
"The DPI site at Irymple, Mildura was identified as a potential location for a native fish production facility. The land where the facility might be constructed has been used previously for agricultural purposes and to avoid complications arising later on in the project, a risk assessment of the land and influent water was carried out to ensure its suitability. The risk assessment was formulated to determine the potential risk posed by agrochemicals, heavy metals and physio-chemical stressors to the facility, specifically to the fish but also to take account of the food chain established as a key aspect of the project."-p. 6.
