(Reference Abstract -- Abstract ) Nepean 37 was the first of 2 deep bores drilled in 1979 in the Nepean Peninsula. It was located on an old rubbish tip site behind the Sorrento Cemetery. The Nepean Peninsula is underlain by a calcarenite unconfined aquifer which yields extensive supplies of groundwater containing less than 1000 mg/L total dissolved salt and thus being suitable for domestic and irrigation purposes...
